Some of the nastiest water you will ever willingly submerse yourself in will be encountered in a canyon.

Using water filters you can filter canyon water so that it is drinkable. If you have never done it before, be sure to bring lots of water because you might think twice about drinking your "filtered" water once you see how nasty it was to start with.
