- a sewn sling with multiple loops for organizing and attaching gear or
- a means of coiling cord and webbing for easy carrying.
[edit] Sewn Sling
- Typically 45-55 inches long.
- Used primarily in aid-climbing when attached to etrier.
- When clipped to etrier and girth hitched to harness it prevents the loss of the etrier when a hook placement fails.
- Also used to maximize arm length when jumaring.
- Can also be tied using a long loop of webbing
[edit] Racking Cord
- Make a loop.
- Tie a slip knot, but leave the loop.
- Through the loop, tie a second slip knot. Leave the loop.
- Repeat.
- To tie off the daisy chain pull the tails through the last loop.
- To untie, untie the tails from the last loop and pull on them. The slip knots should all untie one after the other.
