  • a sewn sling with multiple loops for organizing and attaching gear or
  • a means of coiling cord and webbing for easy carrying.

[edit] Sewn Sling

  1. Typically 45-55 inches long.
  2. Used primarily in aid-climbing when attached to etrier.
  3. When clipped to etrier and girth hitched to harness it prevents the loss of the etrier when a hook placement fails.
  4. Also used to maximize arm length when jumaring.
  5. Can also be tied using a long loop of webbing

[edit] Racking Cord

  1. Make a loop.
  2. Tie a slip knot, but leave the loop.
  3. Through the loop, tie a second slip knot. Leave the loop.
  4. Repeat.
  5. To tie off the daisy chain pull the tails through the last loop.
  6. To untie, untie the tails from the last loop and pull on them. The slip knots should all untie one after the other.
