[edit] Intro

The Keyhole is a classic, short, chilly canyon that is relatively straight forward. The approach is short and easily accessible from the road. It is often used as an introduction to technical canyoneering. The canyon is deep, narrow and lots of fun. As it is easy and accessable, it is popular. You'll need to show up at the crack of dawn to find some solitude.

[edit] Current conditions

In 4/04 I went through at 6AM before the scouts on our trip woke up. There were a few swims to 100 feet. It was chilly, but we did fine with 3/2 surf suits and booties.

Anyone down the Keyhole lately?
