Possibles bag

A Possibles bag contains a number of small items that help get you through emergency situations. It is carried on every trip. Each person develops their own set of tools to carry, but they should be collected to deal with anticipated difficulties.
- Can you stay warm through a bivy?
- Emergency space blanket/bivy sac.
- Lighter
- Something to help light a fire (magnesium, petrolum soaked cotton balls, Esbit etc)
- Fleece hat
- Can you see during forced bivy?
- Small headlamp
- Can you find water?
- Iodine tabs
- Spoon to help collect shallow water
- Can you fix gear?
- Knife
- Buttons, needle and thread
- Accessory cord
- Super glue
- Duct tape
- First Aid Kit
- Chapstick, sunscreen, bug juice
- Small pharmacopeia - Ibuprofen, benadryl, Pepto Bismol, Imodium
- Splint
